Well, let me tell you, I went through this pain for years but through trial and error I learned how to book these gigs. Fast forward a few years and now I have opened for over 30 national acts including Willie Nelson, Charlie Daniels, Bret Michaels, Dustin Lynch, Big & Rich, Clink Black … you get the picture.

I am sharing with you my #1 most valuable tip that can open the door for you to perform with your musical heroes. Enjoy!

I'm Dave with the Blue City Bombers, I have a promo email template that I use to quickly send our promo out to any and all venues and interested parties to book my band. I usually will tailor hi profile clubs and venues with a personal introduction to the specific booker and I have had about a 70% success rate. I include all our epk data along with our hi quality demo video as well. I would love to have our band open for Buddy Guy or Joe Banamasa, that would be the prize gig right there! Thanks, and see you on the road! DW

Tim:

We are a Traditional Pop group called Tre Principesse (Three Princesses) we are backed by String Players. For us we would love to open for Andrea Bocelli, The TCB Band, Charlie Daniels, Tanya Tucker, Josh Groban, Crystal Gayle, Charlie Pride, Randy Travis Group, Kris Kristofferson, etc.

As we are Crossover singers which allows us to perform 10 genres of music, 11 languages as necessary and around 400 songs. So it is very difficult to pigeonhole us.

We have charted #2 on Billboard Record Charts, Won Hollywood IMA & WAMI Awards, Music Competitions.. the question is how to find the right connections? Your thougts 7 Thank You, ~ Anastasia Lee ~

Hi Jean , I hope all is well in Toronto ! I've found that using databases like festivalnet makes it easy to get ahold of the people that book festivals... all the info is right there . What kind of music do you play if you don't mind me asking ?? - Tim :)

I appreciate your tip #1 but there is another handicap which is the real issue of approching festival organizers. Because you have to get in touch with the decision-makers to make a deal.
What do you think?
Jean from Toronto, Canada.
