Blakely Studios
Craig and Bobbie formed
Blakely Studios in 2001 in Cave Junction Oregon.
Bobbie Blakely graduated in 1985 from the University of Washington with a Master of Fine Arts degree in Jewelry and Metalsmithing. She is currently teaching jewelry and metalsmithing classes at Rogue Community College in Grants Pass, Oregon.
Bobbie has an expanding line of original jewelry which appeals to a wide range of customers. One facet of her line is a playful display of nature that has been hand pierced into the metal using a jewelers saw. Another is reproduced in silver or gold using the Lost Wax Casting Method. Some of these designs begin with Hebrew and Greek words which are transformed into visually pleasing designs with accents of semi-precious faceted stones. She also designs and fabricates one of a kind pieces using unusual stones and or metalsmithing techniques.
Craig Blakely designs wearable art using discarded bottle caps. His creations include pins and pendants which frame the intriguing graphics of new and antique bottle caps. Everyone loves the fun, brightly colored beads which may be used as ornaments, key chains, bolos and fan or light switch pulls.
