Sharing our Mountain Heritage! Since 1987, the Christmas in July Festival has drawn thousands to historic downtown West Jefferson the first Saturday in July! Christmas in July is a free-admission event featuring the very best local live music and handmade arts & crafts throughout the region while celebrating the farm-grown Christmas Tree industry Ashe County is known for. Numerous food vendors feature a variety of the infamous delicious festival foods & more. Children's activities, roving performers, fun competitions and the Farmers' Market are also part of the festival. A Community Stage representing talent from local community groups & individuals include dancing, clogging, singing and music! Nowhere else will you find such an excellent array of local & regional music, food vendors, fun and festivities for the entire family than at Christmas in July in downtown West Jefferson!
