cloeK ~ Handmade with love in San Francisco
All of my jewelry is handmade by me start to finish (this does exclude casting at the moment). My heart and soul goes into every part of the process, from concept to completion.
The inspiration for my jewelry is pulled from many sources, but at the moment I've fallen madly in love with early 20th century children's illustrations. Think frolicking in fields of wildflowers, playing with kites, climbing trees and gazing at stars. I'm a sucker for a fairytale. Every piece aims to capture the magic that these stories create.
I use sustainable and recycled materials whenever possible and strive to grow my business in the most ethical and environmentally conscious fashion.
Graduating with a BFA from School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2008, I focused in fibers and materials, textiles, ceramics, metals, sculpture, designed objects and fashion. I use the word 'focus' with a large dose of sarcasm. I left with an extensive collection of skills and an utter lack of direction. I bounced around until I ultimately fell in love with the west coast, packed two bags and threw caution to the wind.
I found my 'Grad school' education working in a beautiful mom and pop high-end jewelry store in the heart of San Francisco for nearly 5 years. There I learned more knowledge about jewelry and the industry than any school could ever teach me.
I now have a new tale to unfold and am extremely excited for what the future brings.
