Today I feel that the time can pass by, maybe we got some wrinkles but the dreams and passion for simple things that fulfill a life will be forever a teenager.

I am the first born of three girls and the only one who’s totally in love with any type of artistic expression like drawing, painting, dancing, singing, photography and even street walls graffiti. But the subject that really drives me crazy and fulfills my head with thousand of ideas is Fashion.  I started as soon as I discovered the scissors in my granny’s basket. Usually a child of that age would cut her or his hair or get a paper and chop it up, but I looked for that ugly dress (ugly for me, expensive for my mom) and cut it in two. Then I made my first mini-dress.

Throughout the years and as my creativity was developing faster than my others abilities I was cutting my clothes and other people’s too, some old sheets and socks and sewing by hand for my Barbie dolls and started drawing impossible outfits that turned real at least for my dolls. I’ve learned the hand stitches by myself, pinching and poking me over and over again until I was introduced to a pedal sewing machine with that leather string in the wheel, it was my other grandma’s.

My official sewing instruction is from my High School, there I did the design of my whole classroom for the Graduation party, it was my own Fashion catwalk. When I was ready to go to College I’ve realized that Fashion Design as a career did not exist in my country yet. So I chose Marketing and Advertising, got my major at the University, got married and gave birth to my daughter. It seemed to be the end of my dreams until one day my husband brought to me the most valuable present ever: a computerized beautiful and white Brother sewing machine. My dream just started happening.

You can imagine now what else I’ve been cutting and sewing for my real doll, my daughter. I also started sewing unique invitation cards for weddings and sewn cards for every occasion, party favors, embellishments, etc. there’s no limit.

Then, back in the 1999 my parents and sisters came to the US and my husband, daughter, son and I decided to follow them in 2002, I got a Dance-fitness instructor certification and I’m still teaching it (remember my other passion? Music). I also got another (and new Brother model) sewing machine and took lesson to improve my sewing and design skills with an expert so now, I am able to share and teach how to change not just your clothes but everything you can imagine, you can DoWonders.
