57th Street Gallery is the brain child of Floyd Pellom a San Francisco Bay Area Business Man and Entrepreneur. Mr. Pellom has been collecting exclusive works of fine art for many years with a focus on works of jazz musicians and musical themes.
As Mr. Pellom’s collection has grown over the years he has often been approached by collectors and individuals on how to obtain some fine art from his private collection. Mr. Pellom’s vision was to showcase his fine art collection, as well as provide a venue for other artists to display their artwork, therefore 57th Street Gallery was launched. "We bring our jazz patings to life" Floyd Pellom said.
Mr. Pellom’s love for jazz is another endeavor he undertook when he launched his “Saturday Evening Jazz” nights to expose the community to the jazz world. Some of the Bay Area’s finest jazz groups perform at 57th Street Gallery... The Yancie Taylor Jazztet, Howard Wiley, Kenny Hawkins Quartet, Glen Pearson Trio just to name a very few.. The “Saturday Evening Jazz” series will bring life to the fine art world giving exposure not only to the fine art but also to the lovers of jazz. We offer live jazz Fridays and Saturdays 8pm-11pm (doors open at 7pm) Live jazz Sundays 7pm-10pm (doors open at 6pm) and Blue Mondays Jam Session with Calvin Keys and Khalil Shaheed 7pm-11pm (doors open 6pm)
