FIGO Woodworks, Stamford, CT
I am a Connecticut-based artisan woodworker and co-owner of Figo Woodworks, a mother-and-son
studio creating functional art in the form of heirloom-quality cutting, charcuterie, and serving boards,
along with a limited number of turned bowls. Each piece is handcrafted in small batches using carefully
selected domestic hardwoods, with approximately 90% sourced locally, with select pieces
incorporating responsibly sourced exotic woods for contrast and design emphasis.
Our work emphasizes precision joinery, balanced composition, and restraint, allowing the natural
character of the wood to define each piece. We do not engrave or mass customize; subtle variations in
grain and color ensure that every work is one of a kind. All pieces are finished with food-safe oils and
designed for daily use while maintaining a refined, sculptural presence.
