A Captain's Gallery is a Coastal Carolina Art Gallery in Atlantic Beach, North Carolina, featuring
nautical art work by local boat Captain- Capt. Maurice Davis. Capt. Davis has run the 83 foot head
boat The "Captain Stacy" for 36 years. With much nautical experience, Capt. Davis uses his life
experiences as his guide in his maritime creations. He is a self taught artist with mediums of
scrimshaw, wood crafting, and glass etching. He scrimshaws on swordfish bills, creates hand
carved wooden boats, and glass etches table tops and wall hangings. Custom work is a forte for
Capt. Davis, working on many glass etchings for local restaurants, businesses, and yacht builders.
