Using a technique called poured acrylics, full time artist, Kat Morris, uses her experienced eye for color and composition to create stunning painted “skins” with shimmering metallics to elegant neutrals... then carefully selects areas within the skins to become earrings, pendants, chokers, bracelets, rings, bolos, or cufflinks - each their own little artful composition, preserved under glass.
Kat also uses this same technique to create exclusive pendant and earring designs on lightweight slate. She is involved in every stage of the process - from selection at the quarry, to shaping and grinding, and individually painting each piece... all the way to skillfully finishing each pendant and earring with embellishments that create artistic jewelry unlike anything else you've ever seen, anywhere!
