I am a juried member of "The League of NH Craftsmen". I create custom one of a kind originals. I have been a steel sculptor for 13 years. I have been an artist my entire life. Ihave sold works local, nationally and internationally as well as some institutional settings.
I use the nature around me in NH to inspire the works of art I do. I like to take a flat piece of steeland create a painting of sorts by cutting the object into the steel in great detail with an oxygen / acetylene torch so I can then add the color to the piece in detail as if I were painting it. It is done in my trademarked process called "Vlam Kleur". The colors come from the heat of the torch. I have been called "The Woman of Steel" and I paint with my torch. I have recently begun to create more 3D works of art as well as detailed 2D works of art. If you take the time to view my site you will see the soft side I steel that I have begun to show others.
I was born in Zeist, Holland and have had many advantages growing up in different cultures including the Asian culture where I learned the delicate nature to things. Although I am disabled I still strive to create in Nature and Beauty..
