Lindsborg's Midsummer's Festival is a FREE event to all ages! We have a Kid's World that features train rides, bouncy houses, face painting and games. Our star entertainment is our Swedish Folk dancers. Enjoy the traditional costumes worn by both Adults and High school dancers. They perform a full line up of dances that are really are a joy to watch. There are also local performers such as The Marquette Cloggers, Broadway RFD, The Lindsborg Community Band and the local dance studio. There is a fun tournament for KUBB players and a Fun Run/Walk. Lindsborg also hosts a FREE Midnight Swim from 9pm to 11 which is always a treat for the children. We have Swedish Cuisine which includes the infamous "Viking On A Stick" which is rye bread dipped in Swedish pancake mix and meatballs. Then it is deep fat fried in deliciousness!  Throughout the day there is demonstrations for Learning Swedish, Genealogy, Egg Coffee, Swedish Pancakes in the downtown area. Don't forget the Blomkrans! Blomkrans are a traditional crown of flowers worn on girls heads to celebrate Midsummer's. The Lindsborg Art's Council will help you make one of fresh flowers for just $5. All the proceeds go to help local artists. Also, while in the park enjoy demonstrators teaching how to make rope, wood carving and broom making among a few.
The grand finale is the "Raising Of The Maypole" with more dancing and celebrating!
This year though we are not stopping there! A local rock band will be performing for our FREE street dance in the park! Enjoy music while you get your "Swedish Moves" on. Adult beverages will be available for purchase however this is a family friendly event also!
