This choker is composed of 19 glass beads made by me at the torch in my studio from traditional soda-lime glass. The beads come in a variety of shapes and colors, though most are the "chip and nugget" style, and a 4 are textured tubular beads. All are transparent or semi-opaque glass, with an emphasis on blues and greens along with some warmer colors like purple and amber.
The beads are strung on a sturdy jewelry making coated steel wire. Decorative silver spacers occupy the spaces between and to either side of the beads. A silvered pewter toggle closure finishes the piece. The total cord length is about 15.50 inches, which is about the average size for a choker.
Wearable glass art from my studio.
