A clear plastic display case, as shown in the photos, is included with the maze. This can be used to display this unique work of art. The maze can easily be removed from the case when solving it.
The only place in the world you can buy this new types of puzzle is from me, the inventor, through one of my shops.
I invented a new type of 3D maze puzzle in 2011 and call them “Ethereal Maze Puzzles” due to their light and airy structure. You will only find these maze puzzle games available directly from my shops. These maze brainteasers are all my original designs.
The name of this maze is: “Escher’s Playground” – Reminiscent of the upside-down staircase drawings by Escher, this 7x7x7 3D puzzle cube will soon have you forgetting which way is up and down. The dimensions of this logic puzzle are 40mm by 40mm by 40mm and the ball is 9mm in diameter.
Escher's Playground is smaller in size than Twisted Symmetry (another maze you will find in my shop), and the outer faces are not painted, so this maze is available at a lower cost. But Escher's Playground is also a 7 by 7 by 7 cell maze, so it is at the same difficulty level as Twisted Symmetry. Due to the convoluted internal structures these mazes can not be mass produced. This type of 3D artwork is only made possible through the magic of 3D printing. Each maze is fabricated by Shapeways, where they use a laser sintering process to individually produce models that can not be made with mass production techniques. I do the painting using enamels.
