The Ottawa International Children's Festival is proud to offer the best performances from across Canada and around the world to thrill, delight and engage your students' imaginations. Our objective is to challenge them by creating a supportive learning environment in which students are invited to discover and develop their skills in creative and critical thinking, reasoning, and inquiry. Furthermore, students are encouraged to develop their oral and visual communication, their social and interactive skills, and their cultural awareness.
A longtime educator had this to say about her students' experience at the Children's Festival:
"Vincent Massey students, many of whom live in public housing or have come from countries around the world, feel like they have been transported to a magical world in which everything has been created for them. They return to school with smiles on their faces, stories to tell and excitement in their hearts. The Ottawa Children's Festival gives the students a common experience about which to talk, write and create. It is a valued annual event for our Order of Excellence Award-winning school."
