I have been in the jewelry business for over 20 years. I started with an antique jewelry counter (which I still have) and put it in a nail salon. I would go into NYC and buy wholesale jewelry, take them apart and recreate the pieces...I was hooked! From then on, I always had a jewelry store. I started out with costume, went to sterling silver until the last couple of years, I have become more interested in mixed metals. Now I have incorporated stained glass with vintage photos and sayings, Precious Metal clay, copper, aluminum, plexi glass, rubber and what ever else looks interesting and fun to work with. I think as an artist, we need to challange our minds or we tend to get bored. I also do custom pieces from black and white photos. Now I enjoy working out of my home studio and being there for my family more. Life is good! website
