Established in 2018, Cape May Diamonds North was created in order to offer low cost jewelry to customers wanting to enhance their memorabilia from Cape May, New Jersey as well as expand their jewelry collection with "jewels from the sea" harvested from Cape May Point. For many years we have been visiting Cape May Point and collecting the stones that wash up on the shore. Once collected we bring them home and polish them, often to a bright shiny finish that makes beautiful and attractive jewelry.
For those unfamiliar with Cape May, it is a small shore town at the southern most tip of New Jersey with a Victorian history and many bed and breakfast places that make the town a beautiful summer place to vacation. It is situated below the Mason Dixon Line with a history of wealthy Philadelphians in the 19th century purchasing homes to vacation in during the summer months and visit in the off seasons of fall, winter, and spring.
Our jewelry, produced north of Cape May in Hillsborough, New Jersey, is all hand made. You can spot us several times a year at the foot of Cape May Point harvesting these, precious stones and preparing to polish and finish them before turning them into beautiful jewelry.
