Cookie and The Real Deal is an ensemble of exciting entertainer. Cookie, herself hails from Milwaukee, WI. In 2011, Cookie auditioned for American Idol. She went on to advance all the way to Hollywood, where she made the top 100. She is an accomplished classical singer, who sings in 5 different languages. She was in a singing competition called "Gifted", where she was crowned the most gifted Christian singer in America. That victory earned her a major recording contract with EMI Gospel. In 2008, she released her first album "Blue Sky" and was featured on the "Gifted" television show compilation CD.
Our Keyboardist, Maurice Pruitt, is a song writer and producer with 32+ years of experience in the music world He produced songs for Tabu/CBS records. He played at the Minnesota Black Music Awards show for Andre' Cymone female band 'The Girls". He played the keyboard tracks, that were featured on VH-1 and. Bet TV networks, He was involved in two hometown bands that open for Roger & Zapp. A Rami Award winner.
Our bassist, Terry Bowdry, sang and played in a gospel group called The Spiritual Six, He has played with Manual Seal, a producer and Grammy Award Winner, who hails from Terry's hometown. He writes his own music and has played in many different festivals. He also open for Roger & Zapp, KC and The Sunshine band, Confunkshun, 38 Special and played after Earth Wind and Fire for Beloit Riverfest Finale. A 5 time Rami and Hall of Fame winner.
Our Drummer, Edwin Bowdry, better known as Noddy, has also played with the gospel group The Spiritual Six. Has done some recording at Radex Studio's. And also has played with Grammy award winner Manual Seal. A Rami Award Winner.
Lead singer, Jamie Pontnack, has been involved with music from the age of 10. He studied at Western Illinois University and was a Vocal Performance Major. In his hometown he was involved in a band that has won two Rami Awards.
