Raised in a small town in Northern California, Terrific Records recording artist Timothy A. Johnson
has been singing and playing multiple instruments since the age of 6. He is proficient on the bass,
acoustic and electric guitar, trumpet, french horn, and a modern guitar-like instrument called the
Chapman Stick. As a professional musician, he has played many high end orchestral engagements,
most notably with the Yes Symphony, the Las Vegas Philharmonic, Andrea Bocelli, and the late
Luciano Pavarotti. Although a trained classical musician, Tim’s real love and strength is country
music.
"Country music fans are the greatest fans in the world, and I want to share my talents with the best
audiences,” says TJ. “I made my first trip to Nashville a few years ago and ever since, I am
completely converted. There is a certain vibrancy and an energy in country music that doesn’t exist
in any other genre. For me, it’s a no brainer.”
“People think that Country means southern. I want folks to know that my hometown (Lakeport, CA,
pop. 3500) is about as country as it gets. When you grow up in the middle of vineyards, pear orchards
and walnut trees, surrounded by cattle and horse ranches, you can’t really call it anything but
country.”
Tim’s dynamic presence and musical talent are evident immediately. His show, whether performing
as a solo artist or with his band, is an energetic presentation, designed for maximum enjoyment by
all.
