Karen Smith, a registered dietician by trade, has been crocheting for over 25 yrs creating one of a kind items. She formed Off the Hook Creations approx. 9 yrs ago (2003) to have an outlet for her favorite hobby (crocheting), which she has now turned into a side craft business. In the past few years she has started crocheting beaded jewelry (necklaces, etc.), using wire and also fiber media. Mr. Bruce Smith (karen's husband), a martial artist by trade (38 yrs exp, 7th degree black belt in American Kenpo Karate), started working in leather when he was a teenager. He recently (6 yrs ago), came back to working with leather creating many types of artwork, plates, flowers, belts, game tables, purses, and much more. Together Karen and Bruce form Off the Hook Creations, based out of Bridgeville Delaware. They have a building on their property which houses Bridgeville Kenpo Karate studio on the bottom floor and Off the Hook Creations Gallery on the 2nd level. visitors to the gallery are welcome by appointment during the week or on weekends.
