Our Story....
Gunner Dog Treats is a home based small business founded on a passion for pets; especially Ole Gunner Dog. Gunner was a big yellow lab full of mischief and lived a wonderful life in Northwest Colorado. He was truly Willie's best friend that lived to a fruitful age of 14 until his passing. We offer a lot of the treats that were his favorites; antler chews, grain free biscuits, etc. More wild game chews will soon be added to our menu. Anything wild was truly his favorite. Willie is a guide & outfitter of big game so there was plenty of scraps for a dog to steal & bury at hunting camp. Gunner's love for life inspired us to make hand-braided paracord collars and leashes that will hold up to rigorous activities on the mountain, in the fields or rivers. They never stretch, fade or bleed colors.
We still have Gunner's step brother Cricket. He is a beautiful black lab that is 7 years old. He learned everything from Gunner; good & bad. Still to this day Cricket is unburying one of his treasured game treats and bringing it into the shop to chew on. He has a huge stash up on the mountain at hunting camp.
Since Gunner's passing we have a new yellow lab named Otis. Boy is he a character. He is a quick learner of basic dog commands and a natural at retrieving. Loves to swim, go play and romp with Finley the neighbors puppy. The only thing he hasn't learned to do is jump in the back of the truck. we think that is out of sheer laziness because we have caught him on the couch or bed. Bad Dog!!!
