I am Eleni Prieston, artist, Goldsmith, Jeweler, Gemological Institute Certified in Diamonds, Retail store owner, Director of the Jewelry Festival of the Hamptons, Gallery curator of Fine Craft exhibitions, Studio owner and operator. I have been involved in the making and selling of my work and others for decades. My training is in the Fine Arts and Classical Gold Techniques. As regards my own passions, as a Greek woman I have always been inextricably drawn to classic techniques and high karat gold.....like the material and techniques used by the ancients. I recognize that since gold has reached exorbitant heights, I also create work in Fine Silver and other metals that I will plate in 22k. My work is thereby welcoming to all. I collaborate with clients to create their vision, recycle their "old" jewelry and make them happy! The intrinsic value of gold is that it is re-useable and sustainable. It has value. Creating and working in pure metals passes on a respect for resources that are not a bottomless pit and should be respected by both the creator and wearer.
