The 4th Saturday in September each year, Winfield hosts an event that has been termed "One of the top 20 events in the Southeast" by Travel and Tourism magazine. Mule Day has grown into a major event not only for the City of Winfield but also for the State of Alabama. Drawing crowds of over 20,000 each year, Mule Day features a variety of activities that appeal to any palate.
