The year was 1973 and the United States ended its involvement in South Vietnam by signing the Paris Peace Accords. OPEC raised its crude oil prices 200% and inflation rate in the US was 6.16%. None of this impacted the very beginning of Pine Castle Pioneer Days Festival which allowed residents and visitors to enjoy themselves without the need to travel very far. This year we celebrate that beginning and all the subsequent annual events at our 2023 Pine Castle Pioneer Days Event.
