Town of Cary / Cary Art Daze, Cary, NC

Member Since: September 19, 2003
Festival biz experience: 10+ years
Cary, North Carolina
Lazy Daze was first held on August 27, 1977 to bring artists into downtown Cary and encourage area residents to explore downtown. The Festival is a signature event for the Town of Cary, annually welcoming more than 60,000 people into the historic downtown to experience an amazing array of exceptional arts and crafts. In 2016, the once historic one day festival changed to a two-day event. Lazy Daze is now a Saturday and Sunday festival that welcomes over 300 artists to exhibit their art. The festival is still a fun experience for the entire family – arts and crafts, food, Kid's World and multiple stages of entertainment.

The Spring Daze Festival was first held in 1993 and is filled with wonderful arts and crafts, your favorite festival foods, community based civic groups handing out information on things you can get involved with, and entertainment. Children will be delighted by activities just for them in the Children's Village and will be invited to exercise their imagination as they play in the always popular Lazy Daze Playground – the center of the village. In the Earth Day area of the festival, you can find out how to play a role in preserving our natural resources and protecting the environment.
