Entertainer Daniel Childs calls the Florida Gulf Coast home, performing over 250 live shows per year across the Sunshine State. Childs is known nationally for his dynamic guitar playing, heart-felt singing, and indigenous songwriting - all of which have become iconic on the Sun Coast.
Having toured the breadth of the United States in concert before moving to Florida, Childs has graced the stages of prestigious venues such as the Bluebird Cafe (Nashville, TN), the Gaylord Opryland Hotel & Convention Center (Nashville, TN), Puckett's Grocery (Franklin, TN), Elvis Presley's Graceland (Memphis, TN), Bridge Street Town Centre (Huntsville, AL), The Grand Theatre (Rocky Ford, CO), Pioneer Square (Seattle, WA) and hundreds of others.
Originally from Memphis, Tennessee, Daniel was born into a music industry family, and raised watching his father perform for festivals, corporate events, and large ticketed concerts. In his early adulthood, Daniel was mentored by highly experienced entertainers as he honed his own sound. Now having worked in music for twenty years, his fresh approach to live entertainment is tried and true.
Always having been inspired by the Florida Gulf Coast, Childs relocated to the Tampa Bay Area in 2014. Since that time, Daniel has performed at the Tampa EDITION (Tampa, FL), the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino (Tampa, Florida), Ulele (Tampa, FL), the John's Pass Seafood Festival (Madeira Beach, FL), the Orange County Convention Center (Orlando, FL), the Will McLean Music Festival (Brooksville, FL), Palm Pavilion (Clearwater Beach, FL), Sirata Beach Resort (St. Pete Beach, FL) and many, many others.
Daniel's debut album "Escape" was released in 2021 to much fan acclaim, and has been streamed all over the United States and abroad. The album is a beach-focused collection of songs ranging from entertaining anthems like "Quit My Job" to touching songs like "Sanibel Day" - a touching song written about an island getaway with his wife. The song "Siesta Key" from this album went on to win 1st place in the Will McLean Best New Florida Song Contest in 2023.
As an entertainer, Daniel Childs wows audiences with fresh renditions of many classic hit songs spanning the 70's, 80's, 90's and early 2000's. Rock, Country, Pop and Island music can all be heard in his set. Solo, Childs skillfully utilizes a looper pedal to enhance his act, charming listeners with unique soundscapes. The Daniel Childs Band, however, is a rhythmic, tight trio that brings Daniel's already stellar show into a new dimension of musicality and fun.
