The Graves Family has been practicing hospitality in the Blue Ridge Foothills since the 1850's. Jimmy and Rachel Graves built the Lodge in 1965, and today Graves' Mountain Lodge is a fully operational hotel, restaurant, and farm. Three meals per day are served at the Lodge restaurant, and are included in most overnight prices. Rooms and cabins are rustic and simple, and the comfortable lodging is complemented by the friendly service. Pets are welcome in some cabins.
Guests come for the peaceful surroundings and beautiful views. Outdoor enthusiasts use the Lodge as a home base for hiking, fishing, and horseback expeditions. Connoiseurs delight in our proximity to local wineries and antique shops, and families love the easy day trips to historical sites like Montpelier, Monticello, and Luray Caverns. At the end of the day everyone gathers back around a long table for a homestyle meal and an evening of good-old fashioned relaxation. Hayrides through the orchard and mountain horseback rides cap off the experience.
Reunions and wedding parties can rent the pavilions for their picnics and conferences are glad to find meals, lodging, and gathering space all in one convenient area. With free community festivals throughout the year and the Shenandoah National Park just beyond our property, there's something here for everyone to love.
