Lincoln Street Union is a dynamic five member band that is based out of lower mainland Vancouver, B.C. We work hard to engage and connect with our audiences!
Our music falls within the genre of Indie-Folk but is undoubtedly influenced by all the many musical sounds that we continue to "grow up" on, including Soul, Jazz, R&B, Reggae and Bluegrass. We are collectively inspired by artists such as Etta James, Stevie Wonder, Neil Young, Blue Rodeo, Indigo Girls, Joni Mitchell, Bonnie Raitt, Beth Hart and Mumford and Sons among others!
We are made up of:
Glenn Matthes - guitars, harmonica and vocals
Barb Steele - vocals
Christie Weigel - vocals
John Beaudoin - bass guitar and vocals
Arno Bangert - drums and percussion
Lincoln Street Union continues to work on growing and developing our sound.
We have enjoyed performing at a variety of venues – most recently at Hood 29 (formerly the Cottage Bistro) in Vancouver. Lincoln Street Union put on “a great show, and I had a great time” said by Eugene Dong, Owner, Hood 29 and the Village Vibe Concert Series in Port Coquitlam. Lincoln Street Union was noted as “an excellent choice for the Port Coquitlam Village Vibe Performance Series! A very tight group with a great sound and a confidence of seasoned professionals” by Zach Lundrie, Recreation Program Assistant, Arts & Culture, City of Port Coquitlam T: 604.927.8442, lundriez@portcoquitlam.ca
