Here I am again.  Havent done much sewing the last couple of days, although I did make two insulated water bottle carriers for my daughter-in-law and my granddaughter.  They are going to europe this summer and will be able to use them while they are over there.  Got them off in the mail today.  I am also working part time for the Census--wow you want to see waste!!  Whew!! I dont know why I am surprised...Later

I am very proud of myself today...I finally got an old project finished that has been hanging around for the past year.  Whew! Am I ever glad to get it finished.  It was two beach covers and a blouse...interesting story, I did some sewing for a lady down here on a temporary assignment--last July her job finished up and she was sent to Minnesota.  She said dont worry about the work, get in touch with her when I was done.  Well, I figured she would not need them through the winter, so the job sat on the back burner.  Other jobs came and went and in between I just never got around to finishing up on these items.  Well, today I finished, I called her to let her know and now I am waiting to hear back from her.  MMHMM! I hope she got the message.  I dont know what I am going to do with them if I dont hear from her....Another good reason not to put off till tomorrow what you can do today.....

OK, I finally figured out how to get in here to write something.  I have a new job I am making a mens frock coat circa 1850's.  This is the second one I am making--the first one was for the groom, and this one is for the father of the groom.  I went to two different fabric stores yesterday (that is my limited choice here in central Fl) and could not find black wool gabardine.  Oh, they had other colors--just no black.  How basic can you get????crying

Well, thank god for the internet, I found what I want and ordered it.  I am just oldfashioned enough to like to feel the fabric before I buy it--but beggars cant be choosers.

I already had to resort to the internet to find the copper buttons he wants on the coat, so now I am set to go (as soon as the fabric gets here!)smile
