Ras Lidj created his own brand and genre of Music, Regg'Go. The contemporary ancient fusion of Roots dancehall Reggae mixed with a Strong DC Go-Go pocket beat. The success of the Ras Lidj Regg'Go Music 2019 EP title track song, “All to the East” becoming the official theme song for repatriation lead to Ras Lidj receiving the honorable official endorsement title, as a “Cultural Ambassador” for the Pan African Federalist Movement [PAFM], in the fall of 2020.
Ras Lidj is a musician, songwriter, and performer stepping forward to uplift and unify his audience most recognized for combining vibrations of Roots reggae, the raw energy of Dancehall reggae, and the unique percussive elements of Washington DC's own Go Go scene -- Ras Lidj has a style all his own "Regg'Go". His songs tell stories with a socially conscious edge, branding Regg'Go; A live show music experience, and a genre of its own to behold.
Joining in 2010, the singer Mia 'Harmoni Black' added a new dimension of vocal range and quality to Ras Lidj Regg'Go Band. Ras Lidj has performed in clubs and music festivals across the United States, and in Ghana West Africa, as well. He's shared the stage with such artists as the Itals, 50 Cent, Junior Marvin and Mob Deep, to name a few.
In 2014 and 2016, Ras Lidj ~ Regg'Go Band, performed at the Carter Barron Amphitheater located in Washington, D.C. they have performed at the People's Reggae Festival in Wilmington, Delaware in 2014, at the Chesapeake Bay Reggae Festival in Hampton Virginia in 2016 and 2019 and at the Virginia Beach Reggae Weekend Fest in 2019. Early 2019, Ras Lidj - Regg'Go Band released 2 new singles. An original titled ,”Rastafari Way”, and a Regg'Go version of the Reggae hit song, “Night Nurse”.
In November 2021, Ras Lidj and Harmoni Black returned from their second trip to Ghana, where the live performance mini documentary and historical interview was video recorded. Currently as they continue to record, while performing regularly, Ras Lidj Regg'Go Band continue to strengthen their increasingly growing fan base locally and abroad.
