Mike McCann formed Raven Tree with one objective in mind, to be authentic in everything they do. From writing songs to recording and performing, Mike McCann (Guitar/Vocals), Phoenix Johnson (Bass/Vocals) and Jed Prentice (Drums/Vocals) do not blindly follow industry standards. Raven Tree's music is real, no autotune or ProTool'd, digital processing is involved. The band's first break into the music industry came from Matt Davis and 98 Rock's Noise In The Basement showcase in April 2014. From Shockwave Fest to The National Sylvan Theatre in Washington, D.C. and prestigious Trocadero Theatre in Philadelphia, Raven Tree has become one of the must-see bands in the Mid-Atlantic music scene and is currently booking. Members of Raven Tree have played on bills with The Pretty Reckless, Puddle of Mud, Alien Ant Farm and Sevendust to name just a few.

Raven Tree released their debut album in April 2015. Their second album Devil's Red Mistress came out in Oct 2017. The title track, lead single and video were released in August 2017. A hard rock remake of Stevie Wonder's “Superstition” was the band's second single, which was released September 2017. Mike is a prolific songwriter, who describes his lyrics as inspired by our collective human experience and cultural condition.
Raven Tree is currently in the studio re-tracking some of their older material with an alternate mix. Originally recorded as a solo project, the bad has since exploded creatively with the permanent additions of Phoenix (2016) and Jed (2017). As a result, the guys really want the fans to hear their older material as performed at their peak potential. It is more representative of what they are now and captures the power and sound of the band rather than Raven Tree as a solo project. The guys are also recording a Christmas EP for release Dec 2018. Mike, Phoenix and Jed are well into writing their third album with 10-15 songs already in various states of development.
