Drawing inspiration from FM radio and life's myriad experiences, the band crafts a unique blend of Alternative Rock and Power Pop, infused with a bluesy undertone. Their journey began in the vibrant music scene of North Texas, where they honed their sound through various residencies. From the iconic Rhinestone Saloon in old Fort Worth to the bustling PNC Plaza at American Airlines Center, their performances have captivated audiences far and wide.
At the helm is Rodger Delany, the band's namesake, singer, songwriter, and guitarist. Rodger's guitar prowess is influenced by legends like Eric Clapton and.David Gilmour, while his songwriting draws from decades of evocative music that resonates deeply with listeners. Hailing from Maple Shade, a quaint town in southern New Jersey, Rodger's musical journey began in a rock band with Chris Ritchie, who now plays bass and lends his voice to the Rodger Delany Band. Chris, affectionately known as "The Conductor," brings a diverse range of musical influences, from rock and metal to standards, country, and blues. His dedication to keeping the band in perfect harmony is unmatched. Rodger and Chris share a rich history, having played together in the band "Mother Redcap" for over two decades, producing several albums and numerous singles. Their deep personal and musical chemistry is evident in every recording and live performance.
Anchoring the band is Chris Babler, a powerhouse drummer with a versatile background spanning heavy blues rock, country, and classic rock. Growing up near Detroit, Chris was shaped by the sounds of Motown and inspired by drumming greats like Buddy Rich, Hal Blaine, John Bonham, and Keith Moon. His expansive performance range continues to grow as he plays in multiple bands and hosts open mics, which is where the Rodger Delany Band first came together.
