My newly found career in the last nine years after being disabled has focused primarily on The American Cowboy and Native American History depicting their way of life. My kinship to the Old West was through early childhood experiences in Oklahoma, Texas and Southwestern Missouri along with my Native American Heritage through a full blooded Cherokee grandmother. Giclee canvas prints of my oil painting impressions soon were selling at shows, local art fairs and small galleries in the St Louis area.

American Cowboy Magazine picked up my works in their Jan. Feb. issue 2005,was a featured artist at National Hop-along Cassidy festival Cambridge, Ohio May 2005,Silver Dollar City Branson, Mo. purchased about 150 prints for their store along with a request to have me demonstrating my western painting at the “Tribute to the American Cowboy” in the fall of 2005, showed at several horse shows in the Lake St. Louis Equestrian Center between Nov.2005 –Jan. 2006, and was first committed to “Painting for a Purpose” after painting an emotionally-filled portrait of my youngest grandson Christian, sitting proudly atop a small horse name “Stony.” Christian is showing how he has responded to taking horseback riding at the New Therapeutic Horsemanship Facility in Wentzville, Mo. The painting was called “Cowboy Up” (Get back on the horse and don’t cry). He has been on life support and a quadriplegic from birth. I made a commitment and have been making donations to them and other related organization with my Traveling Western Art & History Gallery called “Painting for a Purpose.”

The Traveling Western Art Gallery & History Gallery is the only unit of this that we know of. I have taken it to over 21 western and Midwestern states, and several horse related shows such as The American Royal Stock Show in Kansas City, Mo fall 2006. Works have been bought by restaurants such as The Golden Ox Steak House in KC and other locations around the country.

Bronze Western Sculptures have recently been added to my works-- also featured in traveling Gallery along with my most recent additions of famous historical paintings of well-known situations and Icons of our American Heritage.  Currently my Traveling Western Art & History Gallery is being requested to be a featured attraction at Western Events, Horse shows & Trail rides as well as County fairs & City festivals.

I feel that I am not only sharing my God given gift with others, but that I have created a way to inspire others to take adversity and recreate yourself to give back what you have received.
