✨ Helper Electric Light Parade – Utah's Christmas Town ✨
The Helper Electric Light Parade first lit up Main Street in 1990. What began as a dream became reality when residents Ron Cooper and Margaret & Frank Marrelli formed the Helper Projects Committee. Under the leadership of chairman Ron Cooper, the annual holiday parade tradition was born.
In 1991, Utah Governor Norm Bangerter officially recognized Helper as “Utah's Christmas Town,” honoring the parade as one of the state's premier tourism events—and the very first nighttime Christmas light parade in Utah.
When the original committee disbanded in 1999, the Utah's Christmas Town Committee was immediately created to carry on the tradition. Members Mark Montoya, Brenda Deeter, Jodi & Kirk Mascaro, Vicky Miller, and Kari Richardson. The Mascaro' retired but everyone else has proudly kept the celebration alive ever since.
