ABOUT THE ARTIST
Nate Fortner (FOLLOW ON TWITTER) was born just outside of Chicago, Illinois, and raised all his life in Huntington, West Virginia. At the age of 20 years old, he took a summer trip to Alabama to spend time with his mom's side of the family. After a few short weeks, he decided Alabama would be home. Nate had quit his day job of eight years and began touring as an artist, but when his grandma came down sick, he came off the road to help take care of her. "Grandma asked me if I'd write her a song one day like I did for my grandma in West Virginia after she passed. The day she was in the hospital for a procedure that took her from this life, I sat down and wrote her song, "Whispering My Name," which will be on this Country Music Album, "Coal Miner's Grace."
