Calling all Artists & Vendors!

There is still a chance to get in on the opening event for the tourist season in the Keys. A Keys tradition always on the first Saturday after Thanksgiving (Small Market Saturday), The Island Art Festival is the premier event for the Christmas shopping season.

Many people from south Florida take advantage of what is a 4-day weekend to come to the Keys & explore! As a very artisan community, folks are always looking for special items to take home. Even though the crowds are big this year, booths will be limited to 100, with less than 10% of them being for food. This will give a huge advantage to all Artists and vendors.

You can register online at lowerkeyschamber.com/product/island-art-festival-application or by calling the Lower Keys Chamber of Commerce at (305) 872-2411.

Let's dive in and take a look at a few recent festivals that have relied on this technology. Coachella, Tomorrowland, the Montreux Jazz Festival, and The Grass is Green (in Australia) have all relied on NFTs for a wide variety of purposes. In what ways can you make the most of NFTS for your own festivals?

While this can be intimidating and even stressful — especially for those who are just starting out — it's important to note that turning a profit is just one of several financial aspects to keep in mind. From increasing your sales (and curating the right prices) to properly navigating taxes, here are just three important financial tips for vendors who plan to sell at a craft fair

Crafting a Sustainable Festival Site from Ground Up

Crafting a Sustainable Festival Site from Ground Up

Festivals are a revered meeting place for people with a passion for music and the great outdoors, yet sadly, many leave a big carbon footprint behind. It is estimated, for instance, that each person in a typical festival can generate a footprint of 25kg of CO2. Around 80 percent of this footprint is caused by attendee travel, 13 percent by energy, and 7 percent by waste. However, these figures fail to take into account the cost of building structures and transporting materials for infrastructure. How can organizers design and build safe, sustainable sites that protect the planet as much as they entertain those with a penchant for live music?

You should approach hiring artist consultants or music management companies the same way. Chances are, you already know what to look for in a bass player or a producer. But, do you know what to look for in a music management company? Obviously, you need someone you can trust both personally and professionally. Festivals in the US That Empower Women ♀️

More women are attending festivals as a way to bond with friends and have a great time. According to recent data, 49% of festival attendees are female. Onstage, there's a slight increase in booked female artists as a study reveals that 27% of music festival acts in 2020 and 2021 were female, up from 18% from the previous years.

Although some of the biggest festivals, such as Coachella and Lollapalooza, are popular among young women, this demographic is not reflected when it comes to choosing headliners for these events.

Thankfully, there are some really fun festivals that celebrate female performers, music, art, and festival food businesses that are definitely worth checking out. Here are the best festivals in the US that empower women.

Seven Toxic Words To Train Yourself And Your Food Staff To Avoid

There are approximately 600,000 words in the English language, but not all words are created equal. Even some which are commonly used or well-intentioned, can hurt to the point of being toxic. Toxic words can inflame emotions, impact how you're perceived, and hurt communication in your food truck.

As a business owner, you want to use words that build rapport. You want your staff to speak to co-workers and customers respectfully. Even when offering needed criticism, you can do it positively.
