Other projects included teaching magic as therapy with David Copperfield's Project Magic, Circus Celebration, and Science Can Look Like Magic for the Tyler Young Audience Association.  For the American Red Cross, he wrote and produced “Don't be Scared, Be Prepared”.

The Reading is Magic is written expressly for schools and libraries to encourage reading and making positive choices, making its debut as part of a Red Ribbon Campaign.  “Our students really enjoyed his show.  It taught our students many valuable lessons.  Thank you, Arlene Bergner, counselor, Birdwell Elementary, Tyler, Texas.

Schools and libraries are two of David's favorite venues because so much of life is about learning.

David often encourages students to learn about the world around them. “Everything you see me do is something I learned to do, and my first books were checked out from the Tyler Public Library.
