I painted the metal front plate on the frame, the metallic background color is what the whole metal part was. I used a permanently colored copper wire to coil and add the blue crystal to. I liked the way the picture looked with the pieces put together so there isn't really any other theme than a fairy dancing amidst and with vines, flowers and berries. The coil and the crystal is a fun touch to bring balance, the coil represents a vine and the crystal a berry but that is my interpretation. This can give the owner pause to decide what it is to them (could be a guitar?). Everyone will have their own interpretation
The frame measures 7 1/2" x 5 1/2" with the inside measuring 4 1/2" x 5/8" and I did coat it with varathane
