University City Events, Charlotte, NC
University City Events is the organizing factor behind Mayfair Arts & Crafts at University Place. This is an annual event held on Mother's Day weekend in the University City area of Charlotte, NC. The event features artists and crafters from the NC, SC, GA, and VA region who make their own products. We do not allow mass-produced merchandise or buy/sell items. We strive to provide diversity in the products chosen for the event. Duplication of products is held to a minimum. Previous vendors are given first opportunity to renew participation each year. The event is located lakeside in a unique shopping/dining/hotel area and is the central location of the University City area. Food is available on-site at the restaurants permanently located at the venue and we usually feature a few festival type food vendors as an added feature. There is always a kids play zone with bouncy rides/moon rooms and basketball shooting area. There is a paddle boat ride area at the lake as well. We have a stage and feature area musical entertainment from both professional and area amateurs. Admission is always free to our events.
