The Ballyhoo Festival is a fine arts festival with added emphasis on cultural exchange. In addition to fine art exhibitors, the Ballyhoo Festival has cultural exchange with the Poarch Creek Indians, the only federally recognized tribe in the State of Alabama.  They provide their history and perform original tribal dance in ceremonial regalia on Saturday of the festival. On Sunday, the cultural exchange is Early Americana music in the form of a Fiddle/Banjo Competition, sponsored in part by FloraBama and the Frank Brown International Songwriters Festival. There will be art demonstrations, children's art activities, stage bands, and lots of wonderful Gulf Shores food. The Ballyhoo Festival is at the Gulf State Park, across from the Gulf of Mexico on beautiful Lake Shelby. Location address: 20115 State Park Road, Gulf Shores, Alabama. Let's Ballyhoo!!
