Old Timers Day was established to honor "Old Timers" within our community 61 years ago. The festival remains to be one of the few "old time" festivals not only in Tennessee, but throughout the entire Southeast region. For the 61st celebration, the City of Dickson and the Dickson County Chamber are partnering to provide a series of musical events, various "old time" games, kid's corner and the Robert Spicer Memorial Tennessee State Championship Buck Dance competition. There will e three separate music stages for all genres. There will be a living history demonstration area which includes observing ladies dressed in period and a Civil War demonstration with a replica of a civil war camp. Other Living history demonstrators will also be in period dress weaving baskets, doing laundry by hand, making candles, brooms, walking sticks and much more stressing the importance of preserving our history. The 61st anniversary parade will be filled with floats, horse drawn wagons, and much more for your enjoyment.
