Art has always been an important part of my life, knowing since childhood that being an artist and creating art would be my living. Presently my time is devoted to both painting and drawing landscapes, house portraits, realistic portraits, and drawing cartoon portraits from life at social events, in private sittings or by photos.
Painting and drawing au plein aire landscapes have been my passion since I began painting outdoors, 20+ years ago. The beauty of the natural landscape, the colors of the seasons, the atmosphere and spirit of a place, are my inspiration.
In 2014 I began painting for live events at wedding receptions. The painting is done live at the reception and then finished in the studio using photos and sketches. Murial Corcoran was my first art teacher at age 6 until age 15. Afterward, I attended painting workshops with artists such as Bob Rohm, Kenn Backhaus, T.M. Nicholas, Robert Doney, John Booth, and others.. I studied painting and drawing at the Pa. Academy of the Fine Arts, The Baum School of Art, and attended advanced Oil painting classes as well as art history at the Northampton Community College in Bethlehem, Pa.
