This is a gorgeous 1.80ct freeform crystal opal from the Welo mine fields of Ethiopia, measuring 12mm x 10mm x 5mm. I see the State of Texas when I look at this stone, and wire wrapped it in 14kt rolled gold wire with a small "rose" at the bottom tip to represent the "Yellow Rose of Texas". This stone is beautiful in low light with flashes of red, green, blue, and yellow, but dazzeling with a brilliance of 5/5 in bright light.
